<p>Google have updated a number of options on their <a href="http://images.google.com">Image Search</a>.</p>
<p>Users can now filter found images using the following criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>All content</li>
<li>News content</li>
<li>Faces</li>
<li>Clip art</li>
<li>Line drawings</li>
<li>Photo content</li>
</ul>
<p>While users can still filter their image results by image size, users can also filter the results according to a range of 12 colours.</p>
<p>These changes are a great improvement on the old image search function and grabbed my attention as it would have been a great tool for compiling a database of faces for academic research. I had previously searched the internet for pictures of faces and used Adobe Photoshop, etc to crop and convert images to greyscale (before standardising the images). Now much of this effort is removed with a few clicks on the Google search page!</p>
<p>The tool will also be a great help to graphic and web designers looking for images to match general colour themes!</p>
